At first, we honestly thought we could just go ahead with a few Pinterest references and figure everything out as we went. During the renovation, Nemanja suggested that we talk with Juliany about the materials and overall visual direction. We weren't sure we needed the extra guidance at first or the extra expense, but we decided to trust their advice and we're so glad we did.
Juliany helped us curate all the ideas we had collected and turn them into a cohesive vision. She guided us through material choices, finishes, colors, and small details that we probably wouldn't have considered ourselves. She also helped us understand where it was worth investing and where we could save without compromising the overall look.
Meanwhile, Nemanja handled the renovation with incredible practical knowledge and attention to detail. Having someone who understood the construction side while also being able to work alongside the design vision made the whole process so much easier.
In the end, our café feels even better than what we originally imagined. It still has the character and inspiration we loved from the beginning, but it feels intentional, cohesive, and completely ours.
We weren't looking to completely renovate or spend a fortune. We just wanted our place to feel better. Juliany worked with what we already had and showed us where to invest, what to change, and what we could leave alone. She found solutions I would never have thought of myself, I couldn't initially see how some of the things would work together but I trusted their advice and expertise. The difference was honestly kind of amazing. It feels like a completely different space now, without feeling like we had to become different people to live in it.
